Mizukawa is built with privacy as a default, not an afterthought.

What we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account: your username, email address, and password (stored securely hashed). We also store the tasks, AI conversations, and preferences you create within the app.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Mizukawa service. Your tasks are displayed to you in the app. Your AI conversations are sent to Groq's API to generate responses and are stored in your personal database. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled. This means every database query is automatically filtered so that users can only access their own data — not other users' data. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth.

AI and third-party services

Mizukawa uses Groq's API to power AI features. When you send a message to the AI, your message is transmitted to Groq's servers to generate a response. We recommend not including sensitive personal information (like passwords or financial details) in AI conversations. Groq's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API.

Local storage

Some preferences (theme, language, mood check-in status, AI preferences, profile picture) are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Deleting your account removes all your data from our systems. You can also export your tasks by requesting a data export (feature coming soon).

Cookies

We use cookies only for session management (keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Mizukawa is ad-free.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy as Mizukawa grows. We'll notify users of significant changes via the app. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it was last updated.
